Dr. Peter Hamilton is a professor at the University of Alberta and General Internist who practiced at the University of Alberta until his retirement in 2023.
He had multiple roles for the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. For 10 years he was the Residency Training Director for Internal Medicine. He subsequently became Assistant Postgraduate Dean, Director of the Integrated Community Clerkship (ICC) program, Assistant Dean MD Academics, and Divisional Director and Zone lead for General Internal Medicine.

Dr. Jill Konkin is a Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Alberta and has recently been appointed as the Social Accountability Lead for the Department of Family Medicine.
She has advocated for rural medicine and rural medical education for her entire career and in the course of her work at the University of Alberta, she has implemented several rural medical education programs that contributed to increasing the number of graduates that choose rural medicine careers.

Dr. Anna Oswald is a clinician educator and an adult Rheumatologist at Kaye Edmonton Clinic and the University of Alberta Hospital. She is a full Professor in the Department of Medicine at the UofA, with an academic focus in medical education.
After serving as MSK Block Coordinator for 12 years, the last four years of which she also served as Pre-Clerkship Director, she is now the director for Competency-Based Medical Education implementation for Postgraduate Medical Education at the UofA.
She also works as a clinician educator for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons doing faculty development, educational resource development, and policy & strategy advising.

Dr. Tammy McNab is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the UofA. Since joining the faculty in 2006, she has been the Endocrine Block Coordinator and Assistant Dean Academic Affairs, and she continues to teach.
She is working toward her brown belt in Karate, loves to sew her own clothes, and plays video games from time to time. She also enjoys baking bread, cooking, going for walks, and watching movies.

Dr. Mel Lewis is a Professor of Pediatrics, a consultant pediatrician at the Stollery Children’s Hospital, and the director of the Edmonton Down Syndrome Clinic that she co-founded.
After supporting learners in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the UofA from 2010-2021 as the Associate Dean in the Office of Advocacy & Wellbeing, she was appointed as the faculty’s first Chief Wellness Officer.

Dr. Verna Yiu is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta.
She has held numerous leadership roles at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry since 2000, including Vice Dean and Interim Dean. She went on to work at Alberta Health Services in 2012, first as Chief Medical Officer and then as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Since July 2022, she started a two-year term as the Interim Provost and Vice-President (Academic) at the University of Alberta.

Currently, she works in Ponoka and Maskwacis doing full-scope family medicine with emergency medicine and low risk obstetrics. Cayla is also the co-site director for the Red Deer Family Medicine program. She lives in Ponoka with her family.
